LGH Parish Council Logo Design
I was approached to design an updated logo for Loughton and Great Holm Parish Council (LGH Parish Council). Their existing logo was outdated and could not be enlarged as it was at a low resolution. I created a few different options for the new logo which varied from heraldic old English emblems to the more modern version you can see here. As a result of Loughton Parish incorporating Great Holm into their area and the name changing from ‘Loughton Parish Council’ to ‘Loughton and Great Holm Parish Council’, the logo had to be amended slightly to incorporate the new name but retained its familiar design elements to help with the change.
The logo seen here was decided on because it was modern and incorporated famous landmarks for the LGH Parish Council’s area making it immediately recognisable to its key audience. The logo was created in vectors and I designed both a circular emblem logo and a long rectangular one for use at different dimensions.
Quarterly Newsletter Design
I also went on to design a quarterly 12 page A4 booklet that highlights the achievements and plans of the LGH Parish Council to keep the community involved in their efforts within the neighbourhood. This was combined with an A4 folded leaflet which recaps the years work and keeps the public informed. Both of these designs used the branding established earlier on in the project to retain some consistency throughout their marketing.
Another thing I helped them with, was setting up a MailChimp email newsletter template, to allow them to send out regular emails to their newsletter group.
I look forward to working with them more in the future and am glad to help improve awareness of what’s going on in the Loughton and Great Holm community. They do a great job of improving the lives of their constituents.
