I designed a lot of artwork for ‘the honey’, a beachfront club, bar and terraces that used to be on Brighton Seafront.
Most of the graphic design work I did for the honey club was to promote club nights and events. I created many of the club night brands for them, which included creating logos for the night and also influenced the layout and style of each particular event. I enjoyed working with the Honey club because I was often given a lot of creative freedom and got to work closely with the promotions managers to go through briefs, ideas and amends to artwork.
For some of the artwork (I Love RnB & New Years Eve) I created 3D elements using Cinema 4D to sculpt, light and render them. These were then imported into Photoshop to become part of the final event artwork.
I also created some of the designs (iparty) entirely as vectors so that they could easily be enlarged to any size, without becoming pixelated, or losing any quality.
Holidays are a busy time for clubs, so I created a lot of artwork for special occasions, like Halloween, Christmas, Easter and New years Eve. I also designed listings artwork, which included adverts, fliers and posters to highlight what was happening for a particular time period.
A few other things I created for them include: leaflets, brochures, banners, VIP or free entry passes and tickets.
The club is no longer trading as it was sold earlier this year and has now become Shooshh nightclub, which I have also done some work for now that it has reopened.
